Marc founded the company and is responsible for business development and client relationship management. He previously founded and operated a large social networking music website between 2000 and 2004, which received 2 million visitors a month at its peak. He also spent a few years in the senior level headhunting industry, where he specialised in the business consulting and accountancy sectors. He holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Leeds and speaks fluent French.

Marc will be your first point of contact, and will remain available at the end of the phone throughout the time we work with you - and beyond.

 
What we do and why we are different

Alterity Ltd is a full service web design and consulting business specialising in serving the small business sector within the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. We are based in London but are experts at working very wide geographical areas including mainland Europe (we have a multi-lingual team so can tackle most things!).

As a business, we can offer most web development services including both front-end and back-end solutions, strategic web marketing, advice on search engine optimization (SEO), and more technical programming tasks such as dynamic database development and e-commerce. Most importantly, however, we focus at all times on our core corporate value:

What makes us unique is our plain English (or French!), "business first, technology second" attitude to web development. Our clients love this, because they always end up with a simple, logical solution that they can measure in terms they understand.

Our primary goals

We approach every piece of business with three main aims:

  • To fully understand why you need a website, and how it can make money for you
  • To deliver within the shortest realistic timeframe
  • To provide a solution that will pay for itself within 12 months
It boils down to one simple mantra: we believe the success of your website is measured not on Google rankings, but on how much your website adds to your company's bottom line.

Working with us

We operate in much the same way as a business consultant operates. The cornerstone of everything we do is open communication, so our process starts with a meeting to discuss your business in some depth. Whenever possible, this meeting will occur face-to-face, or if not then via conference call. Once we have a strong understanding of where your business's value lies, we will discuss the various options available to you and start drawing a rough plan that will fit your budget and timescales. We aim to outline a number of different options for you, to give you the flexibility to decide on how to balance cashflow against timescales.

One of our critical operating standards is inclusivity. If you are not 100% on board with what we are offering, or if you don't fully understand any aspect of what we propose to do, then we will not proceed until we have resolved the issue. We are not in the business of hiding our methodologies behind technical jargon; it makes the process much, much easier if you fully understand what we are doing at all times. As such, you will find that lines of communication will remain very open throughout the process, with regular updates and an open channel to call us on at any time about your project.

Once we have completed a project, we will meet again to review the work we have done and fine tune any areas that may require it. At this point we may also discuss future review meetings to discuss the success of our solution post implementation. As per the project cycle itself, we will, wherever possible, maintain an open channel of communication after project completion to ensure your complete satisfaction.
